Celebrating National Puppy Day

National Puppy Day is coming up March 23rd. This is a great chance to celebrate our canine pals! Although dogs are cute at any age, they are never more adorable than they are when they’re in their toddler stage. Of course, Fido will always be a puppy at heart. Read on as a local Frisco, TX vet offers some tips on how to brighten up your pup’s day.

Toys

Toys are very important for dogs: they provide entertainment and stimulation, and help keep Fido active. Pick up a new playing for your furry best friend, and spend time playing with him. This is a great way to wind down at the end of the day!

Treats

It’s probably no surprise to find treats on this list. After all, snacks are one of Fido’s favorite things! Let your canine buddy enjoy a special snack. Just don’t go overboard with fatty treats.

Puppy Party

Why not share the fun with others? Have a puppy party, and invite friends and family members with dogs of their own. Just make sure Fido’s playmates are all current on their vaccines and parasite control products.

Photos

Looking at dog photos never gets old. Snap some cute shots of Fido, and experiment with different editing software on your favorite.

Veterinary Appointment

We know, Fido would much rather go to the park than come visit us. However, your pet will be much healthier with proper care! If your pooch hasn’t been in for a while, let this be a reminder to make an appointment.

Walks

Why not take Fido somewhere new? Go to a dog park, or try out a new trail. The fresh air, exercise, and change of scenery will be good for both of you!

Quality Time

Dogs are very loving and loyal, and they want nothing more than to just be near their humans. Spend some quiet time with your furry best friend. Time spent with dogs is never wasted!

Helping Other Puppies

While cuddles, toys, and treats are a great way to celebrate our friendship with Fido, there is a more serious aspect to this doggy holiday. This is a great time to spread awareness about puppies that need good homes. Consider making a donation to an animal charity or rescue.
